BRONLE CROSBY PAINTINGS

I paint breathing room, the spaces between – places for the eyes and the mind to take a break.

My work is about focussed natural histories and transitions: the last scattered drops of rain as the storm passes over; the nighttime dew on the web before the sun has dried it; the egg shell left behind after the bird has flown. I hope my paintings invoke for the viewer memories of those tiny, miraculous details, and the light and sounds and smells of them.
